I was wondering whether there was snow on the ground near Bear Mtn and how much. Anyone live near there or recently gone hiking there? Thanks

Anything's within walking distance if you've got the time.

I live about 15 miles away, and we got a good 4-5 inches of snow today, with the bottom inch being freezing rain\really wet slop.

My bro is getting snow right outside his house in central NY. He even slipped and fell cuz he wore the wrong shoes. I'm thinking Bear Mt. would prob have more snow
When driving up from NYC this weekend I saw Harriman had only patchy snow on the ground.
The Catskills had about 8" in the lower trails and about 12" up top on the summits.
Haven't been up there since just after our last big snowfall, but the area has been enjoying some 50 degree days. I would expect snow and slush in the valleys, though.
I work in NorthCentral Jersey and we have nothing (except 50-60 degree days this week)
.....Someday, like many others who joined WB in the early years, I may dry up and dissapear....
In Warwick, patchy snow and very shallow. After tomorrow, Wed. 1/11 there will be no snow anywhere on the AT in NY as we are supposed to have 40 degrees with heavy rain and thundershowers. Since the highest point on the AT in NY is about 1300 feet, even the higher points will experience rain. So all snow should be washed away by the weekend.
