Shelter Gone/Existing Tent Campsites OK?

Northern MD- The Devil's Racecourse Shelter has been removed as of June 6. I cannot find anything referring to a ban on the nearby tent sites... Anybody?

BTW I'm aware of the nearby Raven Rock Shelter & campsite area!

If I understand Maryland AT correctly, camping is only allowed at shelters and designated campsites (Dahlgren, Greenbrier, Annapolis Rock, and Pogo). Devil's Racecourse is no longer a shelter and never was a separate designated campsite. I'm having trouble finding the official list.
