Default Chinese knock off BA Flycreek UL2

I bought one of these a few days ago for $44 + $16 shipping. They have since dropped to $33.
I will give a review when it arrives.

Looks like a good deal for a beginner or someone on a budget. I bought it for friends who go
with me and don't have their own gear.

    1.5 kg =3.3 lbs
    "anti-tearing polyester" (interior material)
    "lattice nylon" (exterior material)

    Is "anti-tearing polyester" no-see-um screen?
    Is "lattice nylon" ripstop nylon?

Let us know if the materials used are effective.

I would also like to know if the materials seem weak, in hand.

I can think of better tents to clone.

I've been eyeing these too. Please send an update. Would love to know about quality and weights.

I'd be curious how it holds up to a rain storm and wind. That's what a shelter is all about. If it can't do that, it's not even worth $30 IMO.

    Hehe, agreed.

It's entirely possible that it is made in the same factory by the same workers doing production after hours. Not saying that's necessarily the case, but it's a fairly common practice over there.

For what it's worth, my buddy bought a very similar Naturehikes knockoff tent, same flycreek 2 ripoff design except it is green and made of similar material. He has been happy with it.

My orginal response had a typo, I meant to say made of a heavier material. I think his weighed in at 4.5lbs.

I ordered it 2 days ago and it still says "Processing". Fast delivery is not their claim to fame.

Where did you buy it from. Amazons price is not that low.

    Thx

But, with the catch that, although it is a copied design, it is almost always modified to be cheaper, so almost certainly similar looking, but the cheapest components possible. . . IMO, not bad for occasional use, but rarely the quality you want in a more heavily used piece of core gear.
    I'm not lost. I'm exploring.

It says free shipping to the US but then it wants an extra $16 shipping during checkout.

I've had this tent since last fall and have used it a few times...I've used it in rain and snow...in winter conditions it gets condensation in the form of frost on the inside of the rainfly... It looks to be very similar to the one you've posted here. If you watch Walmart's website you'll see this go on sale for $37 once in awhile. And if you use the "site to store" option they will ship it to your local walmart for free.
