    Well sure. Dude always has his nails trimmed/filed. We're generally city dwellers too, so the pavement helps keep them short. Was asking more about the durability of the tent. Thanks though I know sometimes the most obviously solution is the one more frequently overlooked!

    Hey, it wasn't verbalized... No biggie - but keep in mind tents do not last forever - you just have to take care of them until something better comes along, that makes the trail memorable.
    Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

    Fair enough. Like I said, sometimes the obvious is overlooked anyway, so it's good to make note of his nails just in case. Thanks!

    Agreed- [un]fortunately gear doesn't last forever, and while buying that new something special certainly one of the fun parts, it's also one of the most expensive!

    20160527_175909.jpgI started with a Big Agnes Fly Creek and upgraded to the Bitter Spring 2. No problem with either tents and my dog.
