Hello everyone. Any recommendations on a shuttle from Fontana to Clinan's Dome parking? I'm planning a section hike for Sept/Oct.

i'll second the hike inn....

if he doesnt do the shuttle, he has people he hires out (such as the lady a few years ago that was friends with him and would do it for the extra money).....

Hike Inn would be a good choice,
Second option that I have used for Clingmans is a walk in the woods

I went with Hike Inn... Set everything up yesterday.. Now starts the waiting game to make shelter reservations.. I hate to have to use the shelters, would much rather tent, but what do you do? I just hate having to carry the weight of the tent with knowing the chance of using it is slim to none, but I can't see going out without it.. One never knows what could happen..

if the shelters are full----you can always take the BMT route, which uses other park trails, through from clingmans to fontana......

If you make reservations as soon as becomes available, you shouldnt have problem.
