    Default Colligate loop fishing ?

Does the trail pass close to some streams or the river? I fish tenkara. Like a fly rod with no reel. 2.5 oz. I like to fish for a good ten minutes. Even if I don't catch anything its a good mental practice. And fresh meat always is good when backpacking. I saw a CDT Sobo hiker with a tenkara rod so I know I'm not alone.

Not sure about loop but when I hike the Jmt again I'll definitely bring a tenkara if I'm not on a sub 2 week schedule...trout everywhere!!!

Do not forget your fishing license in every state.

    Rolls
Rolls down the hill, Kanardly hike up the other hill
May all your hikes have clear skies, fair winds and no rocks under your pad.

Does a bear crap in the woods? Heck yeah there is some fine fly fishing on and around the CT loop. One of the most prized and rare trout exist in this area. One you won't find on most posters. I'm not going to list it here, you have to do the research. All I can say is clean your fishing gear good, Whirling disease is spreading, and you don't want to transfer.
