    SALISBURY – Because the Appalachian Trail passed through his Hamlet Hill Farm, Norman Sills developed a deep love for the more than 2,000-mile pathway that stretches from Georgia to Maine. Sills died Sunday at Noble Horizons at the age of 94.

    Norm was one of the guys who got the AT in CT where it is today--w/o him, it might have been in NYS. He was active on the Trail well into his 80's. We'll miss him.

    I did not know Norm but I would say he has left quite a legacy to the trail and his community. To use his words...not bad for 'an old dirt farmer". RIP
