2017 Thru-Hike Registry

I'm already in here somewhere but I'll post again with the latest update.

Trail name: Thumper (my feet named me this after running them into every avoidable root and rock on the trail)
NOBO (again, this is my 2nd and possibly final attempt at a thru) (I'm very lucky to be able to have a 2nd chance!)
Start date: April 11th. (Camping out the 10th with my family at the Amacolola Falls)
Approach Trail: Yes (but not those dreaded stairs this time! Did it 3 times, so the other trail will be new to me to the top of the falls)

I cannot wait and I'm just as excited (if not more) this time around! Using what I learned the 1st trip ( MUCH lighter pack, eating "better", etc..., but that's another thread).

TN: In past years it has been Cubby or Glassman not sure if to let myself gain a new one, I am just recovering from a total hip replacement after breaking both of my femurs my left knee and my right hip. Maybe sweet-time. As in taking my own.
Flip Flopping starting SoBo tentatively at the end of April from Harpers Ferry then NoBo after Springer.
Did the stairs on my first attempt as a pure NoBo. We shall see if I go down them?

Of course I did the approach trail,why wouldn't you do it? It's only 8.8 miles,in the grand scheme,it's nothing compared to all the off trail stuff you have to hike.
