    Default Beamis Loop, Maine.

    Has anyone hiked this loop? I see that the Valley trail was closed last year but re-opened this summer. Looks like a very short hike to the shelter with the bulk of it on Day 2 back down the valley. Any word on camping opportunities close to the 3rd peak or intersection of the AT and the Valley trail?

    Last I knew, the loop trail was still closed due to logging. The signs and markers are still there as of July stating the trail was still closed.
