    Default Hotels in Harpers Ferry

I remember a motel about 100 yards from the AT in Harpers Ferry. I thought it was a comfort inn, but I can not find it anymore. I last stayed there over 20 years ago, so it might be gone. Is it still there? Other motel option in HF?
There are so many miles and so many mountains between here and there that it is hardly worth thinking about

I enjoyed the Teas Horse Hostel.

It appears to be an Econo Lodge now:

Go to google maps and type in the phrase "lodging near Harpers Ferry WV" for an idea of nearly all your options.

I stayed there several years ago on a section Hike. They allow hikers to leave a
car in their lot while hiking. The room was clean and well maintained.

I know there is an econolodge, but that isn't right off the AT. The one I am thinking of was close to 340. Maybe it has been torn down.

At the point where the AT leaves 340 (for a northbounder), keep following 340 for another 400 feet. Take a right on Union Street for 100 feet. That's where the Econo Lodge is. 500 feet from the AT. 100 feet off 340. It used to be the Comfort Inn you remember. That url I linked to earlier has a place on the right side of the page that says "view on map." That will confirm what I am saying.

I stayed at the Econolodge last December. It was clean.
you left to walk the appalachian trail
you can feel your heart as smooth as a snail
    the mountains your darlings
but better to love than have something to scale

The Econolodge is right off of 340 but the address is 25 Union Street.

There is also a Clarion Inn just south of here at 4328 William L Wilson Fwy.
The Clarion is right by the Harpers Ferry park enterance on 340.

The Clarion has a nice lounge with good food and live music on the weekends.
It is called the White Horse Lounge.
There is also a fly fishing outfitter in the same parkkng lot; The White Fly Outfitter.

There is also a motel 6 about 5 miles further south down 340.
