    Default Morning tunes for hiking

For those that may include tunes to start their day of hiking what do you listen to? I get it, birds chirping, winds blowing, wildlife rustling, rain drops pattering on leaves and the tent, pre dawn light shading the landscape is great. Back in college my roommate and I listened to Float On by Modest Mouse most days to get moving after a long night out. This past weekend I listened to the Allman Brothers most mornings to get moving. One Way Out is always a good one. I normally don't listen to music once I get moving but while packing up and drinking my morning coffee, always.

U2 : Beautiful Day -- Rock ... I'll add -Gold on the Ceiling --Black Keys

George Harrison :Here comes the Sun -- Classic ....I'll add - If you needed someone - George Harrison of course.

Traveling Wilburys : End of the Line --- Rock .... I'll add - Climb that Hill - Tom Petty ( one of the Wilburys )

other choices are Sausalito Summernight , Calabria , New Speedway Boogie , You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet

When not quite bright eyed and bush tailed slow to come around with the rain coming down or I'm still snuggled warm in the bag on a cold day Steve Winwood reminds me to put on my Dancing Shoes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4VLwcZIX00

Studlintsean I prefer Jessica by Allman Brothers basically at any time but in the morn when I'm not up too Warp 7 out of the gate. I like Jessica 3 or 4th tune in the line up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRDivUb5EeA

Perhaps Bob Seger's Travelin Man or Roll Ne Away first.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzGhc9XRv9Q Live Bullet Album version I like best. Great morning song.

Not so much for getting going in the morning but I tend to listen to New Age or celtic/Irish music...it just seems to blend with the world around me a little more than country, rock or anything else. Instrumental-type stuff from soundtracks are a good listen too, especially Two Steps From Hell (no, not a metal or rock band)

So, what Enya tracks do you listen to in the morn?

    Orinoco Flow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTrk...8HMtNN90EbMIbH

River is nice somewhere in the mix before ramping it up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziKwCU7FJYU

I like Storms in Africa in the rain but that's another thread.

As much as I like Blind Faith's Can't Find My Way Home this acoustical guitar Winwood solo version speaks just as clearly if not more so. Masterful.

I kind of overdid Orinoco Flow when it first came out and I was into sailing, I've relegated it to the once every decade category for the nostalgia. Same thing with a lot of old favorites including a lot of the songs people have listed above.

Much as I like tunes, I reserve them for a little later in the day after the cob webs clear.
