    I was out in the north-of-hopkins/hidden pond/crooked springs area for four days during that little cold snap. No ticks or mosquitos. Very few people, too.

    I know this is an old thread but if anybody is reading this and wondering about the bugs. Well, they are all dead now!

    I’ll second that! We did a lil 2 day section from 88 store to Alexander Springs. Started mid day Thursday to mid day Saturday. Hopkins prarie was a balmy 28* and last night was 25* at Farles prarie....great trip less the red necks running dogs and raising he’ll all hours of the night!
