Happy holidays to all. I'll stick with the politically correct version. I'll be singing carols and lighting a menorah. And visualizing whirled peas.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, remember the reason for the season.

There are dozens of religions around the world, most of them celebrating something this time of year. "Happy Holidays" isn't politically correct - it's just recognizing that not everybody celebrates Christmas.

Merry Christmas to all you Christians out there.

Chanukah and Christmas overlap this year, so I'll take a double, thanks Merry Christmas to you Larry, and Happy Holidays to everyone.

It doesn't matter to me what other people are, do, or celebrate. All I have to concern myself with is my own little self. So when I offer holiday greetings, I smile and say "Merry Christmas!" If the subject of my greeting says "Happy Holidays!" I will still share the hug or handshake. If someone greets me with "Happy Hannukah" or "Happy Kwanzaa" or whatever, I will attempt to mirror their joy back to them. Everybody's experiences are different. I especially feel for those who are depressed this time of year and try to be specially nice to them. It isn't difficult.

So if "other people" don't concern you, why offer greetings at all? Citing "my little own self" as an argument seems contrary to what your savior was all about.

I didn't say other people don't concern me.
