Default REI Quarter Dome 1 Tent

On which end of a REI QD1 should you put your head? Because of the door set up, you would think it would be the flat end. However your head will fit in the triangular end. Pros and cons of sleeping one way or the other?

Well, it's wider at the top where the doors are and also taller. Can you see yourself trying to sit up in the middle of the night with no head room? Also, I usually have a few things (water bottle, flashlight, extra.) close to my arms that I might need during the night. More room at the area close to the doors. Also, there are gear "pockets" located at the door end.

For any tent where one end is narrower than the other, simply keep in mind that your shoulders are wider than your ankles.
