Rodents keep clear of my food....I put my food bag by him at night....it's worked for a while but.....just last week what i assume was a mouse came under my duomid to get some grub...the dog woke up chased that sob all over everything before it shot out of the duomid with dog in tow....nearly destroyed my new shelter! I assume was a damn mouse but I couldn't get my light turned on fast enough to see it......would have made for a funny video....

I've used the "let the dog protect the food bag" technique before with mixed results.

Turns out you have to be picky about what do you decide to use.

    Colorless green ideas sleep furiously.

You'll just have to start eating dog food.

How many monkey butlers will there be?

One at first. But he'll train others.

Many bear cans and Ursack are not waterproof. Neither oh these or Blast bags or zip lock bags are odorproof. This is why I supplement with an odor barrier bag. They are also waterproof. Cost and weight are negligible. Not only is my food bag less odiferous, my sleeping bag doesn't come out of the pack smelling like my food bag.
