Default Will My Sprint Cell Phone Work in Colorado?

My cell phone provider is Sprint and I'm concerned I'll get little to know coverage while I'm in Colorado. I know while on trail not to expect much service but what about when I'm in town? From what I've read so far Verizon or AT&T are the cell providers with good coverage, not so much with Sprint. My phone is a Samsung s5 if that makes any difference.

Pretty much only on the front Range along I25 and I70 west to Dillon. A little around Durango. Roaming around much of the state.

I have Verizon. I lost cell service in the San Juan mountains many miles before I ran out of pavement and drove another 30-40 miles on gravel.
You won't stand a chance with Sprint.

I figured Sprint was probably not going to work, just want to make sure with people who been/live out that way. Thank you both for the help

you'll be fine, a cell phone isn't needed or imperative to hike the trail.

Unless you want to use if for it's other functions like GPS, music, camera, journal and Wi-Fi when in town. Making phone calls from the trial? Probably not going to happen.
