Hiking AT Pearisburg VA to VA16 Mt Roger Rec Ctr by Partnership

My next hike section is From Partnership Shelter there by the MT Rogers Visitor Ctr on VA 16 to Pearisburg VA. I really dont care which way to go - north or south . I was thinking.... drive to Pearisburg and shuttle south to Bland and walk north back as it seems an ok place to leave my car while in the woods. If I did that then I could drive to Bland or Partnership and leave my car there for the rest of the walk and shuttle to the start and walk back to my car. Is there another way to divide this up and have my vehicle someplace safe. Any recommendations?

I can vouch for parking at Mt Rogers visitor center. It's free, there are people working there during the day and they lock the gate at night. I've left mine there without any issues in the past.
