Rickey Gates started on the Palmetto Trail March 1st and has been posting some inspiring photos and entertaining tales from the road/trail as he runs west with tiny pack. He hopped on the AT for about 70 miles to Springer and is currently in TN. Good stuff.

Still find it strange watching someone use trekking poles going down paved white striped Main St. Need something to fend off the dogs with them sniffin up the hiker OH DOOR.

Did someone say headwinds? What's that? I'd jus a like to go uh runnging. Mamma said they was magic shoes; they'd take me anywhere.

Mama was right.
