    New Hampshire charges at many trailheads. Makes sense to me to have the users pay.

    Did you read the article, Dapper? That's a misleading characterization. There will still be free parking on the main road through the area. Plus you can park for free at the next trailhead east on Hwy. 94. They just want to minimize disturbance on the quiet residential streets near the trail. This shouldn't restrict anyone's access to anything.
