Default May weather in NC mountains

    From Ray's Weather this morning:
"Forecast Last Updated at Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 7:26AM
    Windy, Chilly, More Showers
It's easy to forget how nice it was last weekend with such a chilly day... In dramatic fashion a dusting of snow is a common site this morning for the highest elevations. Cloudy skies, a strong northwest wind, and afternoon showers highlight today's forecast. Improvements commence Sunday to some extent. Despite it remaining cool and windy, ample afternoon sunshine will help recover our losses. Looking ahead, expect a significant warm-up to commence by the middle of next."
Stay dry. Stay warm. Spring in the mountains can still feel like winter.

Yes. According to another post, folks are cowering and bailing.
The report from my daughter in Boone: Windy Wet and Chilly. A regular spring day.
