Just read some trail journals backwards!

One southbound book that doesn't get a lot of mention is the Laughachian Trail by Tom Waite. The author is a technical/analitical writer by trade so the humor is quite dry, but it appealed to my more nerdy sensibilities.

I think they're all a little backwards...so it really doesn't matter where ya start, you could even flip flop em.

Southbound on the Appalachian Trail by Ken Sarzynski

I'd say I enjoyed it but I've enjoyed most of the AT books I've read so my feeling might not mean much. In any case, it's a good read.

I've enjoyed reading the trail journals of Francis Tapon and also Cam Honan (Swami). Just look them up online.
