Have fun. I'm not going to be on the CT. I won't be in Colorado until you're done. Too fast for me to keep up.
    Good luck.

Collegiate Peaks loop. Starting late on the 19th of July at Fooses Cr TH. Probably going clock-wise.

Flying into Denver July 2 and looking to finish around August 3. Happy trails to everyone hiking this year and maybe I'll see some of you along the trail.

Collegiate Peaks loop as well. Starting on August 6th at the Sheep Gulch Trailhead and going counter clock-wise. Probably finish August 16th.

Starting in Denver on July 18/19. On AT I would be at about 20 MPD. Given the altitude and the fact that I live at sea level, I expect to be somewhat slower. So, we might meet just before Durango. Working on getting base pack weight below 9 lbs.

ps. Enjoyed your PCT thru hike blog.

The small fraction of CO hikers that might frequent this site may not be representative of the whole...

I'm still working on getting out there for a few sections. Probably be a couple of more weeks, though.

Aug 23 to Sept 7. Just go as far as possible. 250 miles is my goal.

Just a short section, probably Silverton to Durango around the first week of September.

How many monkey butlers will there be?

One at first. But he'll train others.

Construction. The road is being upgraded to a standard paved road.

CTF predicting Collegiate west passable by july 15 on their facebook page. For a few peoples heres sake, I hope their wrong.

Fremont gauge zeroed out, weather quite warm, meltoff is high rate and increasing. Id be willing to speculate a couple days sooner it will be tracked out. 3 weeks is enough to melt 60-80"....

    And then theres determination...and glissades.

    Hopefully.
At 23 mpd , starting on 3rd, you would hit hope pass on 8th day=july 10? You might see a lil bit

Busting out bigger mile days before CW might not do much to help your schedule if you just hit snow

They says its normally passable 3 weeks after fremont gauge is 0, which puts it at july 12...

My total days is 23. my mileage is just over 20 miles per day average considering I'm shaving 10 off from twin Lakes to go and collegiate west and also starting an Indian Creek which is 4 miles shorter.if I get in a time problem I can also skip the collegiates start at Monarch crest as I did the collegiate loop last year. I'd prefer not to skip anything but we will see
