I'm planning to do from the Doyle to NY section this year, what airport(s) would work best for this leg? Thanks appreciate any and all assistance.

Duncannon is 15 miles from Harrisburg, PA. They've got an international airport there.
    Trail Name - Slapshot

Airport symbol is MDT (not necessarily obvious).

On a weekday, the bus Route 7, with a transfer to Route 23, might get you to the Clarks Ferry trailhead which is on the other side of the rivers from Duncannon. Be sure to ask for the transfer when you board, for true dirtbag status. You will likely need to walk a block around the corner in downtown Harrisburg. https://www.cattransit.com/routes-and-schedules/

To take a day longer, you could ride Amtrak's Silver Star train from Tampa, changing at Philadelphia for Harrisburg. As the opposite of dirtbag, if you have sleeping car accommodations you can use the first class lounge in Philadelphia that offers a private elevator and beat the line boarding for the Harrisburg trains. You'll arrive in Harrisburg after the last Route 23 bus leaves, but may be able to find a trail angel.

Or, if flying to Philadelphia (PHL) suits your budget better, you could take SEPTA Airport Line http://www.septa.org/schedules/rail/w/AIR_0.html to 30th Street Station, move under cover to separate ticketing and concourse for Amtrak to Harrisburg (no private elevator boarding, unless you have other Amtrak status) and maybe get there before the Route 23 bus leaves.

Oops, read hometown wrong. Could take Amtrak Crescent from Atlanta or Gainesville, unfortunately they are terminating that service at DC for the summer while they work over NY's Penn Station so that's 2 train changes to Harrisburg. Or take the Greyhound which appears sometimes direct from Washington to Harrisburg saving a change.
