    Default Hit the dread moment

When the REI garage sale is coming up and I skipped it because I don't have any gear I want right now. Finally got it squared away, at least for a while.

We all eventually hit the point where we say"I don't need a thing" and then the peace comes over us, it's quite nice.

Your not missing anything....I frequently stop in rei but rarely buy....ask your self if you really need that? Just more crap to carry! The folks at my local rei must be sick of me buying and returning multiple times trying to pear down my set up....

The one thing I consistently buy at REI every year is trail runners. Not very exciting. You have arrived, my friend

I have come to observe some wish to yak endlessly and buy gear more than actually use the gear they have or talk about. Gear is only only one component in a means to an end...backpacking.

Yes it is a rare moment in time. I love dis attached and distanced from all. Sitting under a big pine tree in a rain shower.

Orlando REI recently had their grand opening ... and I didn't need anything.

I'm at the point I'm selling off stuff I don't use or have experimented with and am moving away from. It's like the old joke about "You know how to make money in photography? Sell your gear!"
