Default Anyone taken the train to NY AT stop?

Thinking of heading there in Oct. and hiking to NJ.

I took the train FROM there, not to. It works, but it is a very limited schedule, something like 2 trains in the morning outbound, 2 in the afternoon inbound (to NYC), and on weekends only. (Now if you get there at a time the train is going in the wrong direction, get on and take it one stop then get off and wait for the other direction.) On my thru I got to the station with about 1 hour before the train, since I had to get to Long Island, I waited and took it in from there.

Other times get off a stop before, then either hitch, cab, or walk to the AT - much more frequent service.
