Default WALKING HOME - Part 2 Now Available

    Hello Blazers,

It's been a while since I last checked in but I just want to let you all know that I've published the second half of my film Walking Home and it's now available on YouTube. Thank you to all the viewers who've been so patient while waiting for the second release. Your kind words have been a huge motivation. It's been a long ride and I'm pretty proud of the final product. I hope you enjoy! Happy hiking!

we passed emily on the trail last weekend near dalton, ma. we spoke to her about all the red efts everywhere. i was like that's emily from walking home. we're quite certain it was her. then we came home after that section hike and watched part 1 again to be sure. can't wait to watch part 2 tonight!

Going to MAto hike this weekend. Maybe we will run into her. It would be symmetrical to meet On Purpose at Katahdin and Black Bear.

yeah when we passed her it was halfway between lee and dalton and that was as of last saturday around noon so she's easily in vt. i hope the woman she was hiking with was the one that couldn't originally join her because of her divorce and is now able to hike with blackbear. i didnt make a fuss and say 'hey you're blackbear' cause i didnt wanna disturb her trail peace.

Thank you Linus! I got those shots with my friend and colleague, Cody Mitchell. He's a licensed drone pilot. To achieve those shots, we would climb mountains and then deploy the quadcopter in places where we knew it wouldn't be frequented by hikers, so as not to disturb the peace. Here's a behind the scenes look of us shooting from the Bigelow Range to get those opening shots of the film.

Awesome movie. My wife actually sat with me and watched both parts without a complaint. I asked her, after the movie, if she understood my desire to attempt a thru hike and she replied "Now I do."

    Well done.

I wish I had figured out long ago that it's more about people and experiences than "things." This movie drives that point home quite well.
