Default Southern Terminus Oglethorpe to Springer

Do you know what the milage was from Mt Oglethorpe to Katahdin when the AT was first completed? 1,940 I think or was this the milage from Springer to Katahdin after the terminus move to Springer from Oglethorpe?

What year did the Southern Terminus move from Mt Oglethorpe to Springer?

    thanks

The terminus moved in 1958 according to wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Oglethorpe

According to this source the trail was 2,038 miles long when completed in 1937: http://www.sophiaknows.com/atdb/
