I am super excited to go, but not really a "gear junkie" like most of the people probably here... I am basically having one of my friends be my buyer. I'm not a big planner - carpe diem right?! I will explore the other forums about people's thoughts on how much to ship ahead, plan, etc. I have done a few section hikes and met a couple that actually planned all of their resupply's from the shelters on their phone!

I attempted to Thru hike in 2016 and completed a quarter of the way. Due to injury I was forced to get off for the season. I spent the time since to work and go through my gear. I have a facebook Fan Page for anyone who would like to follow me.

Was checking out your videos on Youtube.

A preexisting condition is something of a timebomb. I always have to take into account my shot knees and so braces are standard equipment for something like this. The odds tough but so be it.
