Default MEDIC Disaster+Travel+Wilderness First Aid Courses 2017-2018

    Fellow backpackers & hikers,

Learn how to save life & limb while out on the trail. Stuff happens! Maybe to you, maybe to others you come across. Should one follow the scout motto and "Be Prepared?" Well, good ole Ben Franklin once said, "By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail."

A series of highly-acclaimed 2-day Wilderness First Aid courses is coming up (also counting to recertify WFR if you already have that):
    2017:
    > Oct. 21-22: Roanoke, VA
    > Oct. 21-22: Nashville, TN
    > Nov. 11-12: Washington, DC
    2018
    > Jan. 6 - 7, 2018: Charlottesville, VA

    > Jan. 13-14, 2018: Norfolk, VA
    > Jan. 27-28, 2018 Chattanooga, TN

We hope to see you there! More Info & Registration: www.solowfa.com

    Happy, safe trails,
    Matt

My walking club in Australia puts on a similar type of course, ours is called a Remote Area First Aid cse, run by the St Johns Ambos. Most of our leaders, and senior people get qualified/recertify. This is really a great course and you never know when you will be called upon to render first aid to someone on the trail especially with minimum equipment.

Wilderness First Aid classes are important for any hiker to take and re-take!
