    Default Getting to Pen Mar

Any suggestions on the best options to get to the PA /Maryland state line as I head north this Spring!
Bus options --train options --shuttle options ?
Will be leaving from SW IN or possibly Indianapolis or Columbus, OH.

Would be willing to share gas $$$ if anyone is heading that direction in early April.

The easiest thing to do is go to Harpers ferry and walk there. It only adds a couple of days to the trip. Otherwise, you'd probably end up in HF anyway and then have to pay someone to shuttle you up to PenMar.

    That was my thought.

Depending on how the spring weather goes, you might want to wait a couple of weeks and join the Flip Floppers heading out of HF towards the end of the month.

Already hiked section from HF to Pen Mar but guess I could get to HF and then catch a shuttle to Pen Mar.

    Regarding PennMar, we shuttled twice.
1st time: dropped car at PenMar and shuttled back to Harpers, where we started hike.
2nd time: dropped car north of 501 shelter in PA and then took shuttle back to PenMar.

    Nice park to end/begin hikes!

We're interested in this as well, and of course we're going to walk it, but we don't want to walk it twice, hence the need for some sort of transportation one way.... any info on a local shuttle would be appreciated. I suppose there's Uber or hitching, of course, but I bet there are plenty of local shuttles....

If you were going at the end of April and could make it to say Ft. Wayne Indiana I'm going to go then.
