Too bad, DD Bear. I'm thinking of a hike on Thanksgiving, but it will be in New Mexico. Really tired of the damn holidays. Humbug.

Thinking about a day hike in that area either Thursday or Saturday. Enjoy.

I did the loop on Thanksgiving a few years ago. Carter Gap was like Grand Central Station but it was all good.

I was out in your region last October - a truly magical experience for me.

Quite enjoy holidays giving me extra time away.

Been through the area before on a section hike. Wasn’t that busy at that time. It’s gonna be great either way.

Saw the forecast late last week trending that way, but it appears to have dropped the snow prediction since. Plenty chilly, but just about right for some hill climbing. Looking forward to it.

It's beautiful country. Being retired getting off work isn't a thing anymore. But if it were I would enjoy that.
