    Default S Boston Hand Warmers

I have used these while in the field in the military. However I've not read much about them for hiking.
Mine weighed in around 4oz filled with fuel, were self starting (no lighter needed) and would last 10 plus hours.
    Anybody consider using them

I've used similar when riding the motorbike in winter.
Might also work for dayhikes or outdoor tasks where you come back to civilisation more regularily.

Für (LD-)hiking, I doubt if they would be the most weight-efficient option to stay warm.
