    Thanks TN!

Charlie's is on my agenda for my hike next month. I'll try to find the real one.

If you look in Google Earth (or satellite view of Google Maps), you can clearly see the trail that goes pretty much strait up a hill:
    https://www.google.com/maps/@35.6383.../data=!3m1!1e3
Scroll out from that link and you'll see Google Map's waypoint for Charlies Bunion at the "tourist" bunion off to the left.

But keep in mind the satellite image shown was captured in late November. If you go during the summer, expect growth that is 4' tall mostly hiding the trail.

The spur trail’s easier to spot in the winter time. You can see the spur trail on the satellite imagery. It’s pretty easy to follow if you can find the start in the summer weeds.

Thanks for the info and the google map image.
So if I come to the intersection of Dry Sluice Gap Trl, then I've gone too far, backtrack and look for the trail uphill to the Real CB.
Thanks again, and to Ashepabst as well!

Another clue is that the trail splits off in the middle of a clearing. It kinda looks like it was old landslide on the south slope of the Bunion from long ago.

Wow, I have passed that spur trail a handful of times and never knew what it was. Next time!
