    Hope, faith, answered prayer, humbleness to a higher power, courage, patience, leadership, perseverance,...all in the face of extreme duress.


    A sobering study. More than a story.


    Obviously, declaring "By Endurance We Conquer" it wasn't just referring to the name of the ship. They truly lived by it.

    Oddly, as the third expedition began, I "knew" how it was going to end, and I was right. It was Icarus flying too near the sun.

    I didn't see it coming at all. Should have - in retrospect it seems like they built up to that. As it was, it felt like getting hit by a train to have things end that way.
