    I'd recommend one of these courses. Some personal takeaways:

    1. Basic wound care is easier than I thought. Washing with clean water goes a long way.
    2. If you are serious about, consider getting a lightweight, good quality stethoscope. Learning how to use it takes time but it can add value for some quick assessments on the trail.
    3. Inspecting for ticks can save you a lot of heartache down the road.

    Also, learning how to put a femur in traction with a stick and some clothing did make me feel like MacGyver
