It did occur to me that she might have gone back east to finish the AT.
Instagram will know soon enough.
I don’t like hearing that Glacier is having trouble with fires.

The fire is on the west side which is now almost largely closed. Lake McDonald Lodge was evacuated and now closed for the season. I was there last week and the visibility from the smoke was poor, but the east side where we were (and where the CDT is mostly) is still open. I hiked 1.5 miles on the CDT on a pre-breakfast hike to Redrock Lake from Swiftcurrent Lodge. I guess that makes me a CDT Section Hiker.
I believe she hiked the CDT up thru NM and into Colorado. Where there were some snow issues a month back. Wondering if she went back to CO and is moving north to finish the CDT first.....
Again, when she next posts to Intragram, we can try and figure it out.

Same here. Short sections in Wyoming and Colorado.
I must get back to Glacier before I’m too lame, cripple or crazy.
Heather has had too many natural obstacles this year. Good luck to her!

Instagram photo from her at "Mica Lake"......I had to Google Maps that, but Northern CO....Now that doesn't mean she didn't snap that photo a few months back either!

She is still going. I couldn’t tell where she may be from instagram.

6 months on the trail(s)! She still needs to finish NH and Maine on the AT

She said still need to get to Grants. Think hats from where she is hike to Grant’s. Or from Grants south.
The snow on the AT and early fires and National Forest closings in New Mexico and Colorado dealt her a severe blow. She left the CDT in south-central New Mexico and started the PCT at Campo.
Whatever she does this year is EPiC!

Heather is in northern Colorado.

Had the strong inclination Anish would wind up bouncing around from trail to trail.
Judging by her IG post yesterday, it looks like Heather is back on the AT
I thought the same thing yesterday.
I guesstimated in my previous post that she was through Wyoming and in northern Colorado. That’s still a mystery. Rawlins, Steamboat Springs, Grand Lake or I-70 would be the likely places to head east.
All the best to her!

Anish is almost done with the AT! Awesome that Stringbean came out and hiked a couple days with her. When she finished the PCT, I was hoping she would hop back to the AT next and pass by me in NH while I was finishing my thru, but she knocked out some CDT miles instead. But it looks like she'll summit Katahdin this week (if she hasn't already, not sure exactly how far she back-dates her posts online). Go Anish!!

Does this suggest her CYTC is closing in on completion?
^I think she has some CDT left to do. Otherwise, she would be finishing all three long trails in 8 months, which seems insane. Of course, doing them all in 10 months also seems insane to me, but she's a superhuman!

She just posted on Instagram she is done with AT and PCT.
Not sure what she has left in the CDT but hopefully just southern New Mexico. Is it snowing in the San Juan’s already?
