park car near AT and Kittatinny Point Visitors Center May 20, 2018

Hi: We would like to start our section hike north thru NJ/NY at Kittatinny Point Visitors Center or nearby.
Does anybody have ideas where I could park my car while we hike north on the AT?
We are from Michigan and don't have a clue. We just want to start hike somewhere near here. Thanks.

You can park at the visitors' center for an extended period of time, but you must speak to the rangers first.

Where are you going to pick up your car? Perhaps leave it down/up trail, get a ride to where you want to start and walk to your car.

We have two cars. Park car at beginning, Kittatinny Point Visitors Center , one at end, Bear Mt.

Person at visitor center said maybe not safe at visitor's center for a number of days. Suggested Mohican Outdoor Center for extended parking.
