    Default Hiking Buddy

Hi! My name is Harriet , I am 20 years old, and I live in Maine. I have never attempted a backpacking trip like this before and am looking for somebody to do a section hike with through the month of May. I would like to start at
Harper's Ferry and work my way northbound from May 12-June 10 or 11. I can be flexible on which section to do and where to meet. Preferably, I would like to find someone experienced who is willing to show a novice the ropes. I know it's short notice but what's the point of life without spontaneity? Please let me know if you're interested!

It's best to meet people on the trail who you vibe with and share a similar pace with and naturally end up hiking together. Just be careful about teaming up with somebody ahead of time. Once you hit the trail, your paces might be off, or you might aggravate the heck out of each other (especially a stranger from the internet you decide to team up with), and you are stuck with them for the duration of your hike. You might be a tad bit ahead of the bulk of the bubble, and folks will be cranking out some serious miles by then...but I'm sure you will eventually find a person or two or three to tag along with if you're out there for a month. Good luck!
    It is what it is.
