Hey guys, what do you use to communicate with one another while climbing?

We used to use homing pigeons, but the thru hikers kept eating them.
    Colorless green ideas sleep furiously.

I frequently use my voice and facial expressions along with hand motions, body language.

You know what they say, keep your climbing buddies close and you mother-in-law, well, you don't need to communicate with her anyway. In my case, she's dead, and I actually miss her and the only way to communicate would be through some kind of spirit medium I suppose. ;-)

Okay, back to what you probably really want to know, it's pretty well addressed above except, if you don't have cell phone and you need/want to communicate quickly and/or broadly, the Garmin InReach satellite communicators or the new Spot X all allow relatively affordable remote, 2-way communication via texts.
    I'm not lost. I'm exploring.
