    Default September trip

I get to backpack with my brother the first week of September. We had thought of getting on the AT in Pawling or Salisbury and heading north for 6 or 7 days and then getting a ride back to my car.

Anybody have suggestions of other trails in NY, CT, or MA where it's easy to get a shuttle or uber? We don't usually plan miles per day when we hike together so need some flexibility in where we'll end.

Also would like to start no more than a 4 hour drive from Long Island where I'm picking him up.

Here is what I would do. If you park in Salisbury and go North for 6 or 7 days you can make it to Williamstown Mass and get a shuttle back to your car, you can also get a bus. The trail has some nice highlights like Mt Graylock, Sages Ravine and Upper Goose pond shelter.
