Default Portland/Mt Hood area dayhikes, accessible w/o car?

    Hi,

Going to Portland soon and wish that I could do the Eagle Creek Trail and see Multnomah Falls. However, I understand quite a bit of the area is closed due to fire damage, and what views of the falls remain open are few and limited/partially obscured.

Are there any trails near Mt. Hood or other areas near Portland that are open and recommend for a dayhike? Pls. note 1 more constraint - I won't have a car, so whatever location will need accessible by bus/shuttle. 2 of us going.

    Thanks,

    TZ

Get to the Gresham transit station. Take the Bus to Sandy(its blue and runs every half hour. Get off at transit station, end of the line.
Get on the http://www.mthoodexpress.com, check schedule. Will take you to Timberline Lodge. If you go early enough you will be able make it a good. Several trails are available.
    Good hiking
