Curious which 1p tent you went with that was bigger than the Notch... I don't think many out there are!

I have held off a 1 person for now. I do have a duplex that
I am really impressed with so far. When I set it (the notch) up felt like
it didn't have enough room for me. I do like the 2 doors. It was just
the floor didn't feel big enough for me. I know many love it
but just didn't work for me.

For what's it's worth, I had a Notch Li for a few days...it was frighteningly clostaphobic thanks to the ends tapering down and the inesrd sloping roofline. I also didn't care for the separate inner and strut sysyem either. I already had a Duplex, which I love but wanted something smaller / lighter...lol. After returning the Notch, I bought a Solplex and found it much more to my liking. It surprisingly has plenty of space for me and I'm not a little guy. To each his own.

I have a Notch and I agree that it is a little tighter than I would like. Perhaps someday I will "upgrade" to something bigger like a ZPack Duplex. But for now it works because I don't do much in my tent except sleep, it has nice large vestibules which free up space in the tent, and the sloping roof is not as bad as the SMD Trekker that my Notch replaced.

TarpTent makes several 1 person tents. I own a StratoSpire 1 and find it very comfortable. I especially like using the rainfly alone in late summer where and when insects are not a problem. A 21ish ounce covered space. How much does the Duplex weigh?

The current duplex comes in around 19 ounces. I have the one in the 'heavier' .67oz camo fabric which weighs 22.3 ounces on my scale.
