Default I'd like to see your best pictures

I'm feeling nostalgic. Stoney Man Mountain in the early morning in June of 2011. I was sitting there in a very still and quiet mode. A doe deer appeared from nowhere to get the water in the basin. My camera died at that point and I was trying to get new batteries into the camera without making the deer jump off the cliff! It happened pretty fast. I do have a fuzzy picture of the doe but it doesn't show the true situation. The doe absolutely disappeared over the rocks behind to the east.DSCN0235.JPG

Probably my favorite one from the Wind River Range trip we did last year. This was at Grave Lake where the water was so clear and still.

I have the nice pictures from cmoulder, and swisscross saved in my screensaver. But I think something went wrong with Old Hiker's post. Please try again.

Crater lake. Feb. 2015. Right around sunset. A truly beautiful 3 to 5 day ski trip. The tent is right behind and below me on the ridgeline.

Going up to Marys Rock on the AT, just south of Thornton Gap in Shenandoah NP, VA
Just on the other side of the gap from here I ran into a bear with his butt parked in the middle of the trail. It was noon, 90 deg, and he wasn't moving for anything so I had to bushwhack around him.

Spray Falls, Pictured Rocks NL, MI
See the little tree on overhang? I walked out to that tree to get a close up picture of the falls. I took this same picture on a day hike 30 years ago and that little tree doesn't look any different.

    Hike3.JPG
View from Sinking Creek Mt, AT, VA
I dry camped in the rocks near the summit. The ridge is very narrow there so I had a view to the west at sunset and this view to the east at sunrise.

    Hike4.JPG
Manistee River, MI. I did this 20 mile loop I did one fall weekend.
You hike up one side of the river on the NCT and down the other side on the Manistee River Trail to complete the loop.

    Hike6.JPG
Daughter taking a break on North Manitou Island, Sleeping Bear Dunes NL, MI
The little white dot on the far shore is the dock where the boat drops you off and the only development on the island which is otherwise all wilderness.
We were the only ones to camp on the south end of the island that night.

My favorite from my hike last summer.
This one is heading up to the highest point of the whole Via Dinarica trail (2600 meters) in Albania.
They don't call them the "Accursed Mountains" for nothing.
