    Default Starkist Chicken Creation

Has anyone tried the new Starkist Chicken Creation -they aren't cheap -they run around $2.00 in my area.

Yeah, they're really good. The Thai chili is the best. The jalapeno is good and spicy.

Bumble Bee sells a similar version that comes with a tiny spoon and they're even better. The lemon sesame and ginger is the best out of all of them.

Someone in the tuna industry once told me to never buy chunk light tuna. The "tuna guys" call it cat food, since they put some nasty stuff in there. The worst, according to this source, is the flavored tuna pouches, since the spices hide the taste and they can really load it up with bad stuff! His advice always buy Albacore tuna. If you want, spice it up yourself however you like it.

I’m not kidding when I say that the chunk light tuna in cans is exactly what was labeled 100% tuna cat food when I was a kid 50 years ago. I’ve eaten both. Cats follow me.

I have tried three different flavors and not been impressed. They seem rather tasteless. The portions are also small. Still it is something different from tuna or spam. YMMV.

I agree about the portion size. That's an awful lot of packaging for not much food.

Chicken must be more expensive than Tuna as the portions is smaller and it is twice the price. My Walmart and Kroger's only carry Buffalo Spice and Lemon favor.

Sounds like it's you we have to watch out for, then!

Might have to check it out. I've been looking for something that is meat that is also shelf stable other than pepperoni or jerky and I don't like tuna.

My husband likes the chicken packets. We will be taking them with us on our section hike this next week. Our favorite flavor is the Ginger Soy. In the past, my husband has refused to eat the tuna packets, which I like (he isn't a big fish eater...); however, he does like the Bumblebee Sesame Ginger Tuna packet that just became available in our area....

Dried beef with cream cheese rolled into a log. If you have a small dill pickle spear even better.
