    Default Water in PA?

Going to hike PenMar to Duncannon and maybe Swatara Gap in a couple of weeks. How's the water sources right now? Any specific shelters running dry now?

Sorry, no specific idea on the water conditions. However, that area was slammed with rain and flooding throughout August. Not sure what shape the trail is either, but could be messed up in parts too.

I saw on the news that there was massive flooding to the point a short video captured a school bus full of kids being turned around while crossing a bridge. Be careful is the best advice I can offer, along with checking the ATC web site.

The Swatara/Reading area got absolute hammered last week (up to 10 inches in several hours in Lancaster county) and there is 4-5 days of periodic rain coming over this weekend. Water levels are fine. The big concern is trail conditions. There have been some sections before Rausch Gap that looked like the trail was an actual river.

Plan for a muddy and wet trail.
