    Approach Trail

I'm a teacher, so I have my summer off. The idea of an AT thru-hike has slowly gained momentum over the last couple years. I've always thought I'd have to get extended time off to thru until I thought why not go for the entire thing in 70 days? I do not underestimate the difficulty of this undertaking, but firmly believe I'm up for it. I look forward to meeting many of you along the way, and if anyone wants to slog out mid 30s with me....

Over 50 on the spreadsheet, so far. I am sure everyone is busy making their preps. If you haven't found the spreadsheet yet, here it is: Class of 2019

You can also find it from the Homepage, left side under Appalachian Trail Department and then WhiteBlaze thru hikers, Class of 2019.

Let me know if I have made any errors or if you have changed anything.

Good Luck and Have Fun everyone!

    See you on the trail,

Absolutely on the approach. In the grand scheme of things, it's only 8 miles.

Hopefully March 6th or 7th. The 15th at the latest.
Did the Approach last time and don't really see a need to do it again.
Have to pullout and put everything back to 2020. Had a workplace accident in late October which put me in the hospital for a few days and i'm still dealing with weekly checkups and physical therapy. Too many hassles going on so i've put everything off. New start date is March 1st 2020.
