    Default Snakeskins Question

Can someone recommend a snakeskin suitable for covering together a Hennesy Expedition Asym and underquilt? I'm not sure if the Hennesy brand snakeskin has a large enough diameter.

I doubt you'll find any big enough for that commercially. The Hennessey ones definitely won't fit, they're sized for the hammock only and they really don't make ones any bigger. You'll probably need to DIY if you want them that size.

Can I ask why you don't just take the underquilt off to pack the hammock? Seems like the easier option to me.

I'm definitely not an expert at this but I was thinking that would accomplish faster setup/takedown as well as make sure the quilt remains clean and dry during those. I'm aware that Wilderness Logistics makes one that should work called the "Lazy Slug Tube" but I wanted to see if other options were available for consideration before pulling the trigger.

Simply Light Designs has a hammock/quilt catch all sack that is basically just a fat snake skin that slides over everything. There's a summer and winter size depending on how big a quilt you want to fit in there.

    Careful... it's habit-forming.

I made a set of snakeskins big enough to pack the tarp, hammock, and underquilt. Turned out to be a pain for packing in the backpack. Kinda like stuffing an anaconda in a pack.
