Default Alabama Hiking Trail Society Annual Meeting

On the weekend of March 24-26 the Alabama Hiking Trail Society will hold their annual conference at Cheaha State Park. This is just a short distance off of the Pinhoti Trail.

There will be lots of fun, friendship, a silent auction and speakers including me, Tha Wookie and more. There will also be a program on hiking the PCT.

Awesome! I have been looking for a "local" group and now I have found it! I was just out at Cheaha in January. The facility there is great! And then there's the hiking!! Count me in!

I also would like to tent camp while there. Anyone interested in sharing a campsite? Warning! You will be sharing a site with a novice camper/packer. I am just looking for advice/words of wisdom when I need the help!

    Wookie:

Enjoyed your presentation on "Dancing the Tidal Line" Saturday night. Just wish I was young enough to take on a great adventure like that. Hello to Sarah Jane.

Thanks! We had a great time too. There are some great miles to walk in Alabama.... it's amazing what the AHTS and other AL clubs have accomplished. It's always on honor to share the floor with Jeff Hunter!

now if only I could remember what I did with those tickets.....
