    Default SOBO Hammock Gear?

What are you packing to stay warm in your hammock for Katahdin through the Presidentials? My HH is in the mail and I'm contemplating insulation.

My Sleep setup for 2006 SOBO: Katahdin through the Presidentials

    HH UL Asym
    OES MacCat deluxe generation 3
    JRB Nest and NSQ
    WM Caribou mf 32*

Patagonia mid weight top & bottom underlayer
    smartwool merino socks and liners
    Golite long sleeve shirt
    Mountain Hardwear jacket
    EMS convertible pants/shorts

When I start hiking I will pack probably all of this and once I get out of the 100 mile wilderness, into Monson, I plan to make any adjustments I need too. Atleast thats the plan so far.

I assume you're using the two JRBs as underquilts with the Caribou inside the hammock. Have you tested a low temp with that setup?

    ??? That's perfect testing weather!

I had one night in a hammock that cold...I was so hot I had to vent. PeaPod, Exped Downmat 7, JRB NS top quilt, MacCat Standard hung low. Your setup might be worth testing in those temps! At least you'll know your limit. (Have a backup and all that.)
