Wish he had more of this in his videos.
I've yet to watch any that included anything close to the data you request...

Start at Episode 19, or Episode 18 for the beginning of Wyoming. Watch through to Mack's Inn.

    Second Chance Progress:
Cory apparently hitched out of Idyllwild back to where he stopped hiking in order to go to Idyllwild and make the video about the conditions on Mt. San Jacinto.
Today he posted a video of his Hiking Day 32, stopping at Mile 132.
At his current pace, Cory will reach Kennedy Meadows in 142 days. With no Zeros.

The conditions he has been in are just a dream for the desert. Cory is still smiling and still having fun. I wish he had shown some video of Mike's Place, I cannot imagine that there are too many hikers there yet.

A video went up over the weekend of a group beyond Palace Cafe and closing in on Idyllwild.
Cory doesn’t like the cold and especially the rain. What will he think about the heat?

I don't really want to complain because I don't contribute one iota to his videos but the last video is pretty half assed. He could just hold on until he has enough footage and curate what goes in...would be better than releasing something just for the sake of having a new video

I'm reminded of Jack Nicholson's soliloquy from the witness stand in "A Few Good Men."
I'll leave it to Y'all to look it up. YouTube knows.

I'm in my apartment at 9:30pm on a Tuesday night typing on my computer. So, yeah, I hope he goes far!

Who is "we"? Where do you jokers come from that think just because you're lame, everyone else is, too?
Bottom line, I work full-time and have more trail miles than he does this year, and between four different states.
But I do wonder why so-called "backpackers" on a backpacking forum have been posting this crap ever since the thread started, as if actually going backpacking were some foreign concept to them

There are a couple of grandmothers currently hiking who have more PCT miles in 2019 than Cory.

Thanks for the reminder that a lot of people my age are grandparents😛

I really do hope Cory motivates people to find something they're passionate about, and pursue it. Some overweight guy hiking isn't interesting or inspirational, in and of itself, but the couch-to-PCT thing coupled with all that joy and enthusiasm is. I've seen people describe dieting as their "weight loss adventure", but what he's doing is about as adventurous as it gets.
We don't get to see how he is off-camera, but it's a good thing he seems to enjoy hiking, and finds so many things fascinating. When I first saw the "should I quit?" title right off the bat, I thought, "yeah, sounds like he's already quit", but he keeps chugging along. It would really suck to make a big plan to hike for months on end, then find out you just absolutely hate hiking, though!

Maybe some folks here should be reminded that this is HIS channel, this is HIS hike and, as far as i know, he did not ask anyone's opinion/comments/advice.

We are not commenting on his channel. That would be on youtube right? We are keeping his channel pristine. :-)

So what? He's out there, and we're online. It's not a competition, unless the hiker chooses to make it so.
